Fishing Report October 14 2014 Massachusetts

Conditions: Cloudy skies, air temperatures upper 60 degrees, water temperatures were 63 degrees, no wind to start but blustery at end and best baits of the day – Rapala Scatter Rap and L & N Jigs

With this unseasonably warm weather we have been having lately here in New England, I have been trying to connect with a friend for a day on the water. Today was to finally be that day and we picked a lake that he fishes frequently and I have been to once before.

Nice fishing during the week and also getting into this fall season as we generally always have the waters to ourselves and don’t need to deal with other boaters. This particular lake is much stained and there isn’t any type of structure that you can key in on. There are a few areas that still had green grass growing and those were the spots for the day.
