DEEP Says Avoid Contact With and Fish Consumption From Stretch of Quinnipiac River in Southington


Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) said today that people should not eat fish taken from a stretch of the Quinnipiac River in Southington until results from water quality tests are available to assess the impact of the release of a chemical substance Wednesday from a plant near the river in that town.
